2023 was the first year I spectated the Houston Marathon and it was absolutely fantastic!

A Gold Tier Marathon consisting of 6,101 elite and non-elite, albeit passionate athletes giving it their all, down the rugged streets of Houston, Texas 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️.

I scraped the marathon results from the main website, and graphed some quick distributions. If you ran the Houston Marthon, or if you have a marathon time - enter it into the app below. The number generated represents the percentage of people who received a better (lower) time in the 2023 Houston Marathon.

The second chart has distribution results for the 2022 and 2023 Houston Marathon. It appears that particpants performed better in 2022, which I'm accounting to the lower temperatures in 2022!
